Mission
Kearsarge & Co. Books LLC is an independent publishing company based in New Hampshire dedicated to simplifying the self-publishing process. Our mission is to handle the business side of publishing so that authors can remain focused on their craft while retaining the creative control and higher profit margins that independent publishing affords over traditional models. We offer a flexible range of services to empower authors with the support they want and the autonomy they deserve.
Why Indie Publishing?
Kearsarge & Co. Books blends the best of self-publishing and independent publishing by offering authors the creative control of self-publishing with the opportunity for modest advances like the independent publishing space. However, unlike most indie publishers, we aren’t looking to review submissions for a fit to our desired profile but rather partner with authors to bring their book to market.
We choose to set ourselves apart from hybrid publishers as we don’t believe in up-front payment from authors. We understand how difficult it is to raise capital to fund a leap of faith in your book and we think that publishers who receive a hefty sum up front are disincentivized from making the launch as successful as it can be.
