Q: What are you looking for in the submission process?
We want to empower authors to publish the book they want to publish so unlike traditional publishing houses we are not evaluating whether the proposal aligns with our portfolio but rather that it meets our conduct standards. We solely want to ensure that the manuscript is free of hate speech, misinformation, and plagiarism such that it meets our ethics standards. Additionally, we are checking that it is a fully formed manuscript and ready to begin the publishing process!
Q: So if I submit work that is complete and complies with conduct standards will you definitely publish it?
If your work meets conduct standards and is complete then we’ll set up an introductory call to discuss next steps and ensure that publishing with Kearsarge & Co. Books is the right fit for you!
Q: How long after submitting my work will I hear back?
Turn around time varies based on volume of submissions but we look to have a response back to you within two week’s time.
Q: What are the next steps after submitting my inquiry?
Once your submission is received, a member of our team will review it and contact you to discuss whether we’d like to move forward based on your adherence to our submission requirements. If we accept your submission we’ll reach out to schedule a call to discuss if independent publishing is right for you!
